Plans and limits
Termdeck charges for the control plane. The model tokens are yours and bill to Anthropic, OpenAI, or xAI under the subscriptions you already have.
Current prices are on the pricing section of the homepage, which is the authority. This page describes what each tier includes.

Free is for watching and unblocking one machine: approve, stop, read, and start up to 30 turns a month from the browser. Turns you type in a terminal on that machine are never counted. Starter is for one machine and a couple of projects. Pro is for working across several machines and many projects at once: more machines, as many projects and saved logins as you have, your whole usage history, and a bigger terminal grid.
Saved logins are the extra Claude and ChatGPT accounts you keep on a machine to switch between (see Accounts). Starter keeps 2 of each.
The trial
Every new account is on Free and can connect its first machine straight away, with no card. Starter and Pro each start with a 14-day free trial. Start one from Settings, then Billing, or pick a plan in the pricing section before you sign up: Termdeck then shows a short tour and a Start your 14-day free trial screen, where you enter a card at checkout. To skip it and stay on Free, choose Continue on Free.
When you press a plan's button, the screen says Opening secure checkout… until the payment page loads, which can take a few seconds. Checkout is run by Airwallex, our payment provider, and the checkout page shows the merchant as Vortiq LLC, the company behind Termdeck. That is the right page.
Your card is not charged during the trial. The first charge is on day 15. To pay nothing, cancel before then from Settings, then Billing, with Cancel plan.
Each account gets one free trial. Subscribing again after cancelling is charged straight away.
Going over a limit
Nothing is deleted or hidden when you exceed a cap.
- Machines. Agents beyond your plan's machine count are refused at connection time. Since that happens in a terminal nobody is watching, the dashboard names exactly which machines are affected. Remove a machine you no longer use, or move to a plan with more.
- Projects and logins. The ones you already have stay. Adding another past the limit opens an upgrade prompt instead. Remove one to make room, or move to Pro.
- Usage history. On Starter the usage page goes back 7 days. The longer ranges show as locked and open an upgrade prompt.
- Terminals. On Starter a terminal window holds a 2x2 grid. Opening a fifth terminal in a full window opens an upgrade prompt. You can still swap what a pane shows, or open another window.
Changing or cancelling
Manage your plan from Settings, then Billing. Under Your plan you see the plan you are on, its status (Free trial, Active, Cancels and a date, or Past due when a payment failed), what it costs, and the date that matters next: when it renews, when the trial ends, or when access ends. Choose Change plan to see Starter and Pro side by side with yours marked; Back returns to Billing. With no paid plan, Your plan shows Free.
- Subscribe. Under Change plan, press the button on a plan's card to go to checkout. When you have paid, checkout brings you back to Billing.
- Switch plans. On a paid plan, choose Switch to on the other card. A window says what happens to your bill before anything changes. The new plan starts right away and your renewal date stays the same. Moving up adds the difference for the rest of the billing period to your next bill; moving down credits the unused part of the old plan to it. Nothing is charged at the moment you switch. During a free trial, switching just changes which plan the trial is for. Moving to Starter applies its limits straight away (see Going over a limit). A plan that is set to end, or one that came from a code, cannot be switched this way; Switch to then opens an email to us instead.
- Cancel. Choose Cancel plan at the bottom of the Billing page. The confirmation says until when you keep the plan, which is the end of the period you paid for, and asks what made you cancel; answering is optional, and the cancellation goes through either way.
- Change your mind. While a cancelled plan is still running, Resume plan on the plan card undoes the cancellation, and the plan renews as before.
When a trial or subscription starts you get a confirmation email, and its Cancel my subscription link cancels without signing in. A second email confirms the cancellation. Payments are not refunded; the refund and cancellation policy has the details and the exceptions.
When a plan ends, by cancelling or by a failed payment, you move to Free and nothing is deleted. Your machines stay registered, your chats stay on your machines, and your rules stay saved. Your first machine keeps working within Free's limits; the others are refused until you subscribe again, and auto approve rules are paused. Subscribing brings everything back where it was.
Have a creator or support code? Choose Redeem next to Promo code on the same page, type it, and press Redeem. A link with a code in it opens that window with the code already filled in.
Payment history
Transaction history on the Billing page lists your latest payments: what each was for, the date, whether it was paid, refunded or failed, and the amount. View all lists every payment, ten at a time, with Previous and Next.

Where model costs go
Termdeck never bills you for tokens and never resells model access. Turns run on your machine under your own Claude, ChatGPT, or SuperGrok subscription, and the provider bills you as it always has. The usage page shows what those tokens would have cost at published API rates, which is useful for comparing projects and models against each other and is not an invoice.
